At its various receptions, meetings, and studio visits, exchanges of ideas and friendships occur, adding to the vitality of the organization. By exhibiting, selling, and connecting with other artists, the needs of the painter, sculptor, and printmaker are met. among the American Society of Contemporary Artists membership of about one hundred artists are curators, critics, teachers, and members of other important art organizations.
